Volunteer Barter

We understand that not everyone is able to work a volunteer shift during the sale. We have come up with several bartering options so everyone can participate as a volunteer and get to shop early! If bartering is an option you would like, you can earn a 4 or 8 hour Presale pass and 70% profit, if you're a consignor.

Option 2:
Deliver Fliers: We need volunteers in each area to deliver postcard fliers to area Daycares, Preschools, Elem Schools, Dance Studios, Gymnastics classes, Music Schools, Pediatrician offices, OB/GYN offices, Pediatric Dentist offices etc... You will need to be available to pick up the fliers approximately one month prior to the sale. We will notify you of the date, place and time. A list of places that you were able to put fliers will need to be returned. This option will earn you a 4 hour presale pass (single credit).

*Central Arlington in between I-30 & I-20
*South Arlington, south of I-20
*Mansfield
*North Grand Prairie
*South Grand Prairie

Option 3:
Teachers Deliver Fliers: Are you a Teacher or have friends or a family member that's a teacher?  We need your help by handing out fliers to fellow teachers and students. You will need to be available to pick up the fliers approximately one month prior to the sale. We will notify you of the date, place and time. This option will earn you a 4 hour presale pass (single credit). TAKEN
Must provide school ID, when picking up fliers. We will send out an email with all the details you need to complete this barter. 

Option 4:
Place 2 separate ads in the Garage Sale Section of the Star Telegram: Contact the newspaper (most can be handled online) to list our sale information (2-3 lines only) in the garage sale section of the newspaper (Thurs, Fri, Sat) for Arlington and/or Grand Prairie. The first ad run two weeks prior to the sale and the second ad run one week prior to the sale. We will email you the ad information. You will need to provide us with the Ad run dates to receive your Presale pass. This option will earn you a 4 hour presale pass (single credit).


Option 5:
Secret Shopper: Do you have loss prevention/ security experience and can help us by being a secret shopper that walks the sale floor and keeps an eye out for problems, working with us and our uniformed security officers. We have several shifts available for this very important job. This option will earn you a 4 hour presale pass (single credit).

Option 6:
Provide Meal Extras: If you are able to provide extra meal necessities to our sale you will earn a 4 hour presale pass (single credit). We will send a confirmation email with all the details you need to complete this barter. Please note when signing up for this barter, we really rely on you to deliver these items.

* Wednesday 24 pack of bottled water and 1 store bought fruit tray or (6 apples, 6 oranges, & 6 bananas) TAKEN
*Wednesday 24 pack of bottled water, 2 bags of tortilla chips and 2 salsas TAKEN
* Wednesday 24 pack of Dr Pepper, 24 pack of Diet Dr. Pepper  and 2 bags of Ruffle Potatoes chipsTAKEN
*Wednesday 24 pack of Pepsi, 24 pack of Coke and one 6 pack 5 hr Energy Drink.

Option 7:
Provide Drawstring Trash Bags: If you would like to buy trash bags for us, this is the barter job for you. Provide at least 500 drawstring bags that hold 13 gallons and are at least .8 mil thick OR at least 180 drawstring bags that hold at least 37 gallons and are at least 1 mil thick. The boxes need to be unopened boxes. These numbers were based on what Sam's has available (We don't care where they come from or what color). These will need to be delivered anytime during our consignor drop off times. This option will earn you a 4 hour presale pass (single credit).

Option 8:
TV, Radio, or Newspaper Coverage: 
Do you know someone that can get Just Between Friends-Arlington in one of the major news papers, radio stations, magazines or television stations. The interview or article must be published before or during our sale.

Option 9: 
Professional Photographer: 
Do you know a professional photographer that can take pictures of our sale event while you shop the presale.  We ask that the pictures be placed on a CD or downloaded to our computer before leaving on the day the photos are taken.
This barter will earn you an 8 hour Presale Pass. TAKEN

Option 10:
Are you a leader or member of an Adult organization: Get 10 or more
individuals to help with our breakdown process and JBF Arlington will make a donation to your organization. You will earn an 8 presale pass for this barter (double credit). For donation amount, questions or to sign up please email keisha@jbfsale.com

Option 11:
Postage Stamp Provider: Provide one 100-stamp roll of first-class (.46 cent) stamps. These would need to be delivered on presale night, at the sale event. We will send a separate email with complete details. This barter will earn you an 8 hour Presale Pass (double credit).

Option 12:
Family Pack Assembly: Formerly known as "Coupon Pack". This barter is perfect for a mom who needs to get their volunteer hours in from home! We will have vendor coupons (500 for each vendor) that need to go into 500 bags to be given away at the sale. We will send you an email for supplies pick up arrangements to complete this barter. The completed coupon packs should be delivered on a "Drop off" day. This barter will earn you an 8 hour presale pass (double credit).TAKEN
 

Option 13:
Provide Meals: If you are able to provide a complete meal for 4 people, snacks, and drinks to our sale you will earn an 8 hour presale pass (double credit). We will send a confirmation email with all the details you need to complete this barter. Please note when signing up for this barter, we really rely on you to deliver these items.

Other Presale Pass Option:
Recruit Advertising for our Coupon Pack: Do you have family members or friends with a business, that would like to advertise their business? This barter would be great for the mom who has a lot of connections & loves to talk to businesses about JBF. Sales experience a plus! 
Recruit businesses to advertise in our Coupon Pack, get a minimum of:
*four businesses that paid to advertise & receive a 4 Hour Presale pass
*eight businesses that paid to advertise & get an 8 Hour Presale pass
*ten businesses that paid to advertise & get a 12 Hour Presale pass!

Husband  Barter: Get your husband or male friend to sign up on an assigned set up or assigned breakdown shift and earn a 12 hour presale pass.
